Tycoon Online is a business simulation game. Players create their own business which operates factories and shops, carries out transport assignments, and offers services.

As your company grows, you can sells shares of company stock, buy stock in other companies, and buy and sell produced goods on the market.

Your goal is to build the biggest company with the highest value. By aggressively expanding and outdoing your competitors, you can become the #1 Tycoon.

Game Universe

Tycoon Online currently has two English-language servers, one based in virtual Sweden, and the other in virtual America. We also have Swedish, Dutch, Portuguese, and Turkish language versions of the game, each based in their native country.

The game is set in the present day. Each universe operates on a 70-day round, giving players a chance at a fresh start with every new round.

Game Goals

Tycoon Online is continuously introducing new features to the game. In fact it is probably one of the most actively developed browser games. Each round we introduce several new features which can have subtle but important impacts on strategy. TO will never become "old hat", because the game is always changing and players will never become bored.

Development

Tycoon Online was designed originally using concepts from PC games such as Simcity and Transport Tycoon. By making it available to play from any web-browser, it was possible to introduce massively-multiplayer gameplay to the Tycoon genre for the first time.

Tycoon Online is built on LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) techology.

Today Tycoon Online has over 10,000 active and loyal players, and is growing rapidly.

Developer's story

I've always been a fan of Tycoon-style games, but was frustrated by the lack of good options for massively-multiplayer gameplay in the genre. I believe Tycoon Online to be a great game to address this deficiency, and I hope you will agree!
