Game Universe
It's all out war as the galaxy and it's people have been divided up into a number of opposing factions, each with their own strengths and weaknesses.
You begin as a young rookie pilot thrown into the middle of the ongoing conflicts. Will you side with the Galactic Federation and fight against the every present Pirate Threat? Or maybe you'll work your way up the ranks of the Free Trade Union and earn yourself one of their legendary trade ships?
It's up to you to choose your own sides...
Every action has a reaction, and this is no different. Help out your chosen factions by trading at their ports, and they will reward you with access to their best ships. Attack enemy factions to further raise your allignment. But beware! Let your allignment with any faction fall too far and they will begin to attack you on sight!
Game Goals
SEI has been a small community game for many years. Now that we have a new faster server it is our goal to grow into a much larger active player base.
Development
SEI was created using the old Solar Empire opensource code many years ago. It has since evolved into so much more as a number of game admins have added their mark on the game.
Developer's story
SEI was started from the opensource game Solar Empire. It was then developed for the next few years by a couple of different admins. When the last developers began to move onto other things the game needed a new developer to keep the game alive. As a long time player that had now learned some coding, I took over SEI and have continued to code updates for the last couple of years.
