Catastrophe X is a map-based space strategy game. It's played in your web browser against other online players, and it's free. Battles consist of two or more players, each starting with a detachment of spacecraft, or craft. As the battle progresses, players deploy their craft onto the map to harvest resources, create more craft, and their attack opponents. Your goal as a player is to design detachments of craft that work well together, and then command them successfully in battle.

Game Universe

Catastrophe X sets you as the commander of an army of spacecraft. Your role as the commander is to devise detachments of craft that work well together, and command them successfully in battles against other commanders.

Game Goals

In the short-term, Catastrophe X needs a small group of dedicated players interested in getting in on the ground level of an up-and-coming game and influencing its development. Beyond that, the sky is the limit.

Development

Development on Catastrophe X started in mid-2010, and the game was released in mid-2011 after a year of full-time development. The game continues to be improved on a daily basis.
