HackerForever is a game based on the dark world of hackers. The game let's you setup your own system, run servers and join clans. But note, you do not have to be a technology geek to play this game. It's fun for all.

You decide how you play the game. You can switch between White Hat (defensive), Grey Hat (neutral) or Black Hat (offensive) roles, which influences the way the game responds to attacks or hacks. You can become a trader or a well known server killer.

Try to level up the World Rank ladder by gaining Experience Points and Skill Points. These are gained by doing various hacks on systems and servers and by doing contracts. Money is important to keep your system up to date and to buy hack tools. To make money you can do contracts or you install profitable software on one of your servers.

Another fun aspect are clans. Work together as a group, learn new things and join forces.

HackerForever has an active community with in-game Live Chat, in-game forum and Instant Messaging. User input is highly appreciated by the game administration. You can make suggestions via Support Tickets, on which other players can vote. Make world fame by having your idea implemented into the actual game!

HackerForever has a moderator team which monitors the game and helps out players who are having problems with the game.

Game Universe

HackerForever is set in the dark and shady world of hackers, crackers and cyber criminals. You are constantly in danger of an attack on your system or servers. To survive the game you can join a clan or go underground.

The online world is devided in to networks: n00bNET and Internet. n00bNET is the network you are connected to when you start playing the game. It's a safe haven for beginners and includes NPC's that can be hacked for practice and total safety from nasty attacks.

When you feel you are experienced enough for real action, you can switch to the internet. From that moment on you are in constant danger of attacks, but it also enables you perform attacks yourself or exploit servers.

Game Goals

HackerForever wants to grow into one of the greatest online Hacker games on the net. Our first goal is 50.000 players.

Development

HackerForever is the sequel of the offline hack game HackTheGame. The offline game had a large fan base. I felt the sequel needed to be multiplayer, so I decided to start the development of an MORPG.

I have done many PHP projects in the past, so development of HackerForever went fast. The first versions were already popular under players. Development has been ongoing for one and a half years now. New features and adjustments are added on almost daily basis. User input is very important in HackerForever. Great ideas are often implemented.

The current version has about 5.000 users, but we are always looking for new players. This game is my prime hobby and a lot of time and effort has gone into development. I hope to see you in my game.

Developer's story

I've been programming ever since I was a 12 year old kid. HackerForever is not my first game, but it is my first PHP based multiplayer game. Development has been a challenge as well as a great learning experience.

Being the adminstrator of HackerForever is a daily thrill. I love to hang out in the Hack Chat and talk to all those different people from all over the world. It's really amazing.
