World War IV is a social strategic game of war set many years in the future. You command a fledgling country, using diplomacy and war in an attempt to become the greatest super power of the world. Compete against other real players and talk live through the game provided live chat. Team up with others to conquer your enemies and put your name in the history books as the greatest leader of all time.

Players use land to build buildings such as farms, industrial centers, oil rigs, and more.

They use the income from these buildings to buy or construct troops and to war with other players, to either take more land or to kill your opponents. They may also team up with groups of other players to further their goals.

Once they have gained a decent amount of land they begin to stockpile large amounts of food or money, which they use to boost the relative net worth of their country. The country with the most net worth wins the set.

Although we're small in size, we have a great community and many helpful players.

Game Universe

Humans ran Earth for thousands of years. As they grew, they warred each other many times. Two such great battles were called World Wars because they involved many great nations around the globe. People feared a third world war, because by this time, great weapons had been developed that could wipe out everything and everyone on the planet.

Then it happened. We're not sure how it started, as noone was left to write the history books. But from our research, we have found no other cause to the complete annihalation of this once great civilization. We have found many things from this distant past that once reigned supreme upon our planet and we believe that Humans had destroyed themselves in the Third World War.

The last things we can find are about wars and uprisings and things being destroyed in the year the Humans called 2012. We don't know how long ago that was.

Many years ago people began emerging and forming their own small pockets of civilizations again. Some of us have stumbled upon things from the past and it drove us to find more. Everything we know is from these artifacts. It seems that we have learned in just a few hundred years what the Humans took thousands of years to develop, thanks to what they have left behind. We believe the radiation from the Third War is what has caused the different races that exist today.

We are still small in numbers compared to what the Humans had once achieved, but we are growing and spreading. Conflicts are arising between the different factions over land ownership and differences among the many races that now exist. Many of us fear that if we don't do something soon, another great war will be inevitable.

Game Goals

The goal is to make the game grow to one of the best turn based games, the eventual aim is to gain upwards of 50,000 players. This game is designed to be a social game, where the community will have a huge impact on how the game continues to be developed.

Development

Fresh out of the US Navy, Earth 2025 quickly became one of my favorite games, however when the game closed I set out to develop my own version of it.

I went to college, and am pursuing a bachelors in web development, and two associates in programming and networking. With the knowledge I'm learning i have developed a game similar to the earth 2025, however i have made major modifications and am continuing to develop the game.

Now that alpha has been launched i am seeking more than the current 40 members who are testing the game, making suggestions, and finding the bugs. I hope to have around 500-1000 members before beta testing starts. I love this game and the people in it, i spend hours every day on it, so if anyone needs help, I or other members of the game can help them.

Developer's story

Basically, I gained an interest in programming and a game i used to play closed, so i built my own game and have been working hard to expand it ever since. I'm one of the most interactive, player friendly, fair admins in the gaming world. I intend to keep the game free to play and competitive for all players, not just people who pay me.
