[intro] Thrill Town is a game based on creating and managing your own amusement park. Individuals construct attractions in their park and a nightly sim runs that determines who visits what park and how much money those visitors spent.

[development] Parks grow via park expansion and the construction of new shops and rides. Items are unlocked via the silver and golden ticket system. These tickets are awarded for meeting certain in-game objectives and goals. These tickets can be redeemed for random in-game items which do special things or unlock new rides and attractions!

[goal] Thrill Town is primarily a sandbox game, however, collecting all the in-game items is one long term goal. You can form a corporation with your friends and have your parks be ranked among other parks in the world.

[finish] Thrill Town is a relaxing, easy-to-play amusement park game with MMO elements in a charming little package.

Game Universe

Thrill Town is set in a light and charming environment. Many rides, shops, and items have humorous descriptions. The game is targeted at being very family friendly.

Game Goals

[goal] Thrill Town has just launched, but the initial feedback from the closed beta has been exceedingly positive. My aim is for Thrill Town to become larger than my previous project, Court Rivals.

Development

[intro] As an avid gamer and MMO player, I'm quite the bookworm when it comes to game development and methodologies.

[development] Thrill Town is my second browser based development effort. I borrowed some elements from my first browser based effort (Court Rivals) and merged those elements with the charm of a game like Roller Coaster Tycoon.

[finish] Thrill Town launched on July 12th, and my hope is that the game grows into a great community. I am pretty active on the site, and have no problems answering support questions or concerns.

Developer's story

I've been a huge gamer my whole life, and creating and developing browser based games is a hobby of mine. I enjoy challenging myself by developing new games and meshing ideas from various games I've played. I'm a big RPG/MMO fan, but as I've gotten older I tend to lean more towards casual games that are easy to pick up and play.
