CritticWars has many different parts that are built to keep you entertained. Those are built around your main character in which you train, buy upgrades and then fight other users with your character.

While you are beating up the other players and becoming the best you can also enjoy many different "mini-games" including Versus and Besieged (these parts of the game are still in development). These are turn and tick based games in which you can create a Amplified Modular Suit and roam around a map and fight other suits and AI's. You will also have missions in which you will have to complete to win the round.

Explaining CritticWars and playing CritticWars for yourself is two different things. Come and see what we have going and shape the outcome of it.

Game Universe

Victoria City. One of the newest cities on the continent Ankins. Once a place of great diversity is now a busy and flourishing city full of potential. The year... 2089 on the Gregorian calendar. Victoria City was once a place of great mystery while Darwinism was seen literally everyday. Citizens called the city Metropolis. At the beginning of 2078, the mutants that once lived in the vast assemblage of underground networks below the city revolted. Humans invaded the once safe haven and fought for an entire year, both above and underground. This time period is referred to as the great CRITTICWARS. At the end of 2078, the mutants fought one last battle that left the great Metropolis, that was populated with human and mutant souls, in ruins. The underground networks were destroyed. millions were killed. In its place a new civilization was born, rising from the ashes, the Humans were free of the genetic traits that once sparked the devastating war. Our ancestors were afraid of their future and for the moment conquered it. A few of the mutants remained in the destroyed city. They were scavenging the ruined city for food, clothing and weapons when they were caught. What did the we do with them? They built a Colosseum. With that a new pastime emerged and just like our long time ancestors, the Roman's, once did with their Gladiators Victoria citizens are doing with their Mutants. Its now 2089 and most of the Mutants have been killed and claimed at trophies but a few remain, and theyre so far unbeatable in the great arena. Many of the fighters train daily with each other in preparation for what they call The Trials of Destiny. For many, its a measure of a battlers courage, strength and speed. This is where we are now. You will shape the outcome of this epic tale.

Development

CritticWars is created and managed by a duo of developers that are passionate about browser based games. After the game that we've both played for several years ended we were lost. Over the years we have had great ideas and we wanted to start up a game purely as a hobby.

A few months later we sat down and thought up the basic parts of the game including the name, story, and the main part of the game which is our battle system. We also found that most games you only spend a 15 minutes or so on the game and then you're done. Then you're bored. Our mission is to create a game in which there is always something to do and to try to overcome boredom.

We're still hard at work on CritticWars but have the main parts of the game complete. We're going to be hard at work on CritticWars long after the game is finalized.

Developer's story

Our names are Nick (alias Aaleck) and Luke (alias Gibbo) and we started playing browser based games many years ago and met on one. We've been friends for many years and then the game that we played and were administrators on came to an end. A few months later we started developing CritticWars as a hobby and then a few months after that created our company Avend Studios. We're very committed in trying to create one great game.
