Star-Fury has been around since 2000 and we are currently changing the game and changing the community. We are looking for players to help develop the next generation of the game, both as active members of the community and as active players.

The game is centered around the player creating and building an empire in space. The player then creates or joins an alliance with other players as they battle to control the universe. Players can select a number of races, all of which are different and determine the strategy of the empires growth.

The ultimate aim is to rule the universe and destroy the competition. The game is war orientated and there is a focus on tactics and diplomacy to win the game. The goal is to win, but it may not be as easy as you think.

The community is full of helpful and interesting players and our dedicated IRC server is always up and running. Each alliance has its own channel so that players may work together easily and share ships and advice. The game features two servers, one is fast paced and the other is slow paced.

Game Universe

Star-Fury features a complex universe where different races are good and bad at different things. Some are powerful, where others are industrious or intelligent. The universe is focused on war and diplomacy, but also tactics. If you make the mistake of warring another alliance at the wrong time, then you could regret your decisions.

Game Goals

The goal is to grow from around a hundred players, to over a few thousand players. We are also looking for coders and developers to help create our future vision for the game.

Development

The game has been developed since 2000, but it has also been passed from coder to coder and its overall development has been slow.

The current group of developers are making changes, but in code and in graphical tersm to improve the game and are striving to make changes all the time for the benefit of the game and its players.

Developer's story

After playing a number of online games and realising that something was missing, the team have decided to re-create a long running browser based game and turn it into something special.
