This is London is an online free to play crime based text game.
You wake up in london with no recollection of what has happened to you. You start off with nothing but £100. Starting from megre beginings you need to climb your way to the top by any means necessary.
You commit crimes to make a bit of money and then you have different ways of investing your money. You can stick it in the bank, nice and safe and with a steady income or you could buy a company get some friends to work in it and see if you have what it takes to make it rich. Maybe you are more willing to take a risk... you have to spend money to make money... you could play the stock markets or if you are feeling particuarly lucky win big at the casino. If you like cars then you could always invest in a good car and trip it out and take others on head to head in a one on one street race...
You can make as many friends as you want, or you go it alone. Join a gang or be a one person wrecking machine. Choosing from a range of different weapons which ever you choose make sure your enemys come to know it and fear it.
It doesn't matter how you get to the top in London, but nothig comes for free...

Game Universe
This is London is set of course in london. It is a place of anonomity. Everyone minds their own business, and needless to say crime is in an abundance, with break ins, shootings, killings and muggings every day events. Each player needs to fend for themselves, or join a gang to watch their backs, as they seek to become the richest, the strongest the most liked or most respected player in the game.Which ever they choose everything is up for grabs, and everything must be taken by force...
Game Goals
We want to make this is london as big as possible providing a bit of something for everyone. We have only been released a few days and have over 50 players after about 3 months of hard work and sleepless nights.
We want this is london to be a game where players feel that they can interact with the admins and where they feel they have an equal say in the game. The game is built for the players, and we want the players to enjoy it. We want them to feel this is their game, and it will go where people want it to, with exciting new changes and with admins who enjoy and share the same enthusiasm for the game as the palyers.
Development
Myself and my friend/co-owner both enjoyed playing online games, however we both felt that there were ways that many games we played could be improved. Brilliant suggestions for games which went ignored. We both had a desire to create a new game, our own game a better game for people to play. As avid gamers ourselves we knew what it takes to make a game interesting, and we knew how it felt when the people who made the game became too obsessed with watching money coming in rather than enjoying the process of building a successful and fun to play game and watching people enjoy it.
We decided and about 3 months ago started to build this is london. We both believe that admins should be accessable and easy going listening to other gamers and giving them what they want. What makes a really successful game is the people who play. For this reason we want to provide an online community which people flock to and which provides a bit of something for everyone whether the frequent gamer or the bored office worker to drop into now and then.
Developer's story
Me and my co-developer both played several online games, however we felt that whilst the community became more exciting with the growth of players, the more distant the admins and developers got from their own games.
We saw how some games were run, and we felt disappointed that games with alot of potential wasted as the players became ignored. We both felt that if all the suggestions being made were put together they could undoubtedly be made into one of if not the greatest online text game.
For this reason we decided to listen to suggestions and make our own game. As avid gamers we felt we knew what we would want in a game, and if we produced this then other players would enjoy it. With the encouragment of firends and other gamers we took on board their suggestions and we produced this is london as it is today. We have just launched it for players to join and we look forward to new players joining with an enthusiasm for a brand new start, and for the opportunity to make one of the greatest online game there is. With players who know what they want and with two develpers and more people behind the scenes we know this will become a popular and fast paced game constantly evolving creating new challenges, and new opportunities.
