State-U is the misadventures of a single student (could be you!) attempting to find his (or her) way in this confusing world of higher education, usually accomplished by endless drinking contests.
From the lowly origin of the frosh, by aligning yourself with other like minded students in the fraternity system, larger goals can be accomplished, as you and your frat buddies can wander the campus.
Who will be the big dog on campus? Who will drink the last beer? Who will pull the ultimate prank? Do you even stand a chance of graduating?
With a growing solid community, there should be a group for everyone or you can carve out your own.
State-U: We're not drunk yet, but we're trying.

Game Universe
State-U is set on the campus of State University, a generic campus of offbeat employees, crazy locals and partying students. The everyday financial struggle not to run out of booze money and purchasing text books pushes students to the brinks as they come up with any plan to stay afloat.
Game Goals
Since we left the closed beta a few months back, we've been slowly growing our ranks. None of us on the staff really know what we want to get from State-U, other than to produce a final product that demonstrates our abilities. I know I'm going to celebrate the day we hit 100,000 accounts and I'll likely run down the street naked when we hit one million. Keep your eyes on the news.
Development
I built most of the base code on my own, from the ground up without relying on any of those game templates that float around and are launched so often. As a result, I've gotten a good feel for the mechanics.
Now, we're starting to push beyond the basics into a more ambitious direction, which hopefully will be the product of the players themselves as much as the development staff.
Developer's story
I first started playing online RPGs like State-U almost five years ago. Since then, I've had a strange fascination with building that environment, but improving on the foundations that got me so interested.
I get some grief from the usual trolls, but I shake it off, because they don't have a world of their own making and I know the players appreciate the effort I'm putting in. Hopefully, State-U will reach and surpass the games I remember playing.
