QC Gangland is a game for those who wish to vent their frustrations and get involved in some organized crimes without the hassle and headache of going through the legal system, afterward. Players join a gang, create their own gang, or go it alone.. everyone chooses their own path.
Perform crimes to gain experience and cash. Each time your character levels up your abilities increase and new features become available to you. Explore different districts of shops, execute player vs. player attacks, participate in gang wars.. Roam free and choose your destiny as you make friends (and perhaps enemies).
The users goal in QC Gangland is largely up to them.. Do you want to be the top dog in fights? Do you want to run a mafia-style crime family? Do you want to be an assassin for hire? It's up to you. Train in the gym to build up your stats. Make sure to buy a good house to keep yourself 'happy'.
An attached game forum is open to all registered users and provides a great community and the ideal location to post your opinions, comments, suggestions, or anything you feel might contribute to the game.
QC Gangland is out, and it's ambition is to be one of the next great games. Only with the help of our players can this be accomplished!

Game Universe
QC Gangland is set in Charlotte, NC.. Charlotte is the second largest banking city in the U.S. and is also ranked second in gang-related activity. QC Gangland allows its users to create gangs and build up their characters in a semi-fictional environment that mimics life in the Queen City of Charlotte, North Carolina.
Game Goals
During our initial deployment, QC Gangland started with a couple dozen friends.. it has since exploded into about 100 players and is growing and changing every day. We are constantly striving to improve the gameplay experience and make sure we keep the balance between fairness and fun.
Development
Having played other text-based RPG style games, I thought of many different options or features that each game could use to make it better.. In the end, when I gathered all these ideas together, I decided I should start my own game to put them all into practice in one game. QC Gangland is the result.
Self taught in HTML, I thought that the transition into PHP shouldn't be too difficult. While the overwhelming amount of code was daunting, the task itself (when broken down into smaller goals) was accomplished. It has taken a lot of hours online, and a lot of frustrated cigarette breaks, but eventually it blossomed into the intriguing and challenging diversion that it is now.
QC Gangland is now open to the public and currently has roughly 100 human players and about 10 NPCs. We are hoping to double this population in the first few months.. The more players we have, the more input we get.. and the more input we get, the better the game becomes.
Developer's story
I have always been a computer person. I have been around since the days of dial-up (and even a little before). I have paid my dues and learned HTML to write my own personal website.. Since then, I have grown and changed my style. I have taught myself new skills, and I have honed my talents.
I am a very pleasant and personable soul. I take pride in my achievements, but give credit to those that assist me. And, most of all, I look forward to meeting new people as they register to join in the fun of my new creation, QC Gangland.
