Monster Breeder is a browser-based game designed to emulate an MMORPG. It is of the fantasy/rpg genre; it is not a pet game. You can play when you want with no fear of losing "ticks" or "turns". There is no other game like it. Visit us today! :)

Game Universe
The world is Aerra. Long ago, there was a division of the gods, and with this division came the birth of monsters, which are what the player controls, and mobs, what the player fights. The mobs constantly attempt attacks on the world and as a breeder it is your duty to thin their numbers out a bit, while doing various other quests and tasks along the way.
Game Goals
My goal? I'd like to have a tight-knit community that was big enough to know the names of people, but not so big that you could get lost in it. I'd like to be able to make a decent income from donators so I can work on this full-time - because I seriously love this game, the lore, and community.
Development
A lot of text/browser-based games follow the same model: get a dude, make him strong, be 'the best', and get bored of it. I started learning PHP with the intention of deviating from this model and offering players a game that they didn't *have* to log into every day - but they could. Most players do log in to at least send their monsters to work if they're not planning to explore that day. MonBre has been launched since August 2008, but had a rocky start. After some system and feature changes, the game is ready to be played by all. I suggest anyone interested in a storyline and game you don't have to slave over, to check us out. It's been a long time in development, starting in January 2007
Developer's story
I knew even was I was a young boy that I wanted to make some kind of game. Learning PHP, javascript, following web standards etc., enabled me to create it. I had the idea for the game in my freshman year of high school and when I was a senior, I got serious with web development. As I said before, I love this game, and I'd love to work on it full-time and see a bunch of people enjoying my creation, my quests I wrote, everything.
