Game Universe

Entering Universal War will grant you with a planet and the leading position. You will
have to develop your own infrastructure, advance in technological fields, build and lead
your ships in battles. You will have to decide when to be ruthless and when
compassionate, when to be friendly or hostile and whether to make a friend or an
enemy. You can ask your system comrades for help and they might answer, but every
decision you make will be yours and yours alone. Every decision you make will influence
your planet, your people, your future.

Game Goals

The game was offline between 2004 - 2008. We brought it online but we could not spend much time on it, so we couldn't do marketing either. It has now about 400 players and we are looking to attract some funds to continue development.

Development

After playing browser games for a few months I wanted to create one for myself. I began in 2002 and with the help of 3 friends we managed to complete it after 2 years. We learned a lot of things from this project and the game went succesfully. It had in the first 2 weeks 500 players.

Developer's story

Universal War changed my life because I have learning programming by doing it, and now I am working as a web developer. It was a great experience because I met people and made friends from all around the world. As a hobby developer of 7 years of experience I would like to note that making a browser game is one of the most interesting projects a web developer can create.
