2. A Tried-And-True Basketball Simulator - by Renomitsu Rating: 9/10
Court Rivals is one of the only sports simulators that allow you to play as a singular player (or player(s)) on an up-and-coming team. One creates a player based upon desired position and height, and afterwards they are able to customize their character in infinitely many ways. The basic 225 point character is bare-bones in statistics, but one can replicate virtually any player with the 12 different attributes that can be invested in: Speed, Endurance, Ball Handling, Passing, Two-Point Shooting, Three-point Shooting, Free Throws, Dunking, Rebounding, Blocking, Defense, and Leadership. A player's mental tendencies can also be set based upon the team's needs and the player's strengths, such as taking more threes or attacking the glass for rebounds. Teams are structured into nine divisions: Pro Divisions A-D, College Divisions A-D, and Playground Division A. The cream of the crop, the players that dominate the entire game, are in the Pro Divisions, while many up-and-comers and firmly established teams reside in the College Leagues -- incomplete teams and teams with shaky rosters are relegated to the Playground Division, which consists of all teams below the 96 in the Pro and College Divisions. With over four thousand members, many builds of players have been explored; some model their players after those in the NBA or Europe leagues, while others hope to create hybrid players that encompass the entirety of more than one position. The Administrator of the site, nicknamed 'Kazz', is on literally every day, making adjustments and testing out new systems of play, including a soon-to-be-implemented play-by-play.
