Game Universe
The Giant Ball is a gigantic "beach ball" which arrived on the earth by surprise. Its unique goal is to turn around the equator, but by that, it hopes to unite as much persons as possible, first to help pushing the ball, then realise this union strength and use it in their all-day life.
The Giant Ball is 1/10th of the earth, for an approximate diameter of 1275 km. An unknown gas fills it, and an extra-robust material composes the shell. It turns on the surface of the earth without crushing anything thanks to these extraordinary characteristics.
Game Goals
The giant-ball should be more a kind of activity, very short, to feel connected with persons from other countries. You push, allowing your country (or the country you are in currently) to grow in score. That encourage the other participants to push for their country. But everyone is contributing for the same goal.

This game is in pure java, with its own server, also in java. The ball is raytraced in real-time (though it may change to speed-up the animation). The first implementation was in full 3D, using Java3D, without any interaction once you arrived on the game (you pushed once!). Java3D was not working properly, and so was the lack of interaction. So I did a 2D version (which should evolve soon), and added a button.
As crazy as it may sound, some persons did enjoy the principle, and around 80 countries are represented...
