GAME UPDATE: 29TH MARCH 2011

We have rolled out a new game update during today's maintenance in all the English Worlds. The notes can be found below.

Command Summary
Commands being displayed in the command summary are now sorted in the following order: outgoing, returning, scheduled and support of other cities. Coordinates and alliance names will be added to each entry, making keeping track of your troops much easier. A new icon displays whether a raid will be repeated, will run once or until a predefined return time. A new button has also been added which allows the use of horns to speed up support, directly from the command section.

City abandonment without security codes
We have made it possible to abandon a number of cities without the need to request a security code. The number of cities you can abandon at once without a security code depends on your title.

Earl and Marquess: max. 1 city at once
Prince: max. 2 cities at once
Duke: max. 3 cities at once
King: max 5 cities at once
Emperor: max. 8 cities at once

The city limit function is similar to that of the “Dismiss troops” function where the limit recharges automatically over time, adding 1 city per 24 hours until the predetermined maximum is reached.

Artifacts Enhancements
It is now possible to gain the full benefit of medallions and amulets even if you don’t have enough orders queued. Should you have any unused build time left over, that time will be stored and used for the next paid (in terms of resources) order until 100% of the build time has been used.

Instant Town Hall Upgrade
These new artifacts are useful for newly founded cities. They will instantly increase your Town Hall level to a predetermined value and provide additional resources as well. It costs more mana and is roughly as powerful as comparable speed and resource artifacts combined.

Temporary Build Speed
Newly introduced artifacts increase the build speed of a city for several days. These artifacts provide the perfect alternative to building and demolishing additional cottages when building or upgrading a city.

Palace Resources
Newly introduced artifacts make it easier for aspiring Lords and Ladies to eliminate a resource deficit should they be missing resources to build or upgrade their palace. These artifacts will add resources directly to the palace resource pool, thereby preventing the need to import resources from an external city.

Purified Resources
With this new range of artifacts you will be able to invest mana into research. These artifacts will grant you purified resources, providing approximately 10% more purified resources than traditional resource artifacts, for the same amount of mana.

Improved Navigation
This feature includes revamped map navigation with new functionality which, will save a lot of mouse movement.
Not only can you switch between city, region and world view, but now you can also jump directly to specific continents or even coordinates.
For those who scroll without a mouse new directional buttons will be added, allowing you to navigate the city, region, and world views with the touch of a button.
Moreover you can decide in the options whether the navigation control is anchored to the top left or top right corner of the city/region view. You will be able to hide the directional arrows should you feel you don’t need them.

Dungeon Spawning
As you may have noticed, forest dungeons have traditionally been more likely to appear than any other dungeon type. You may also have noticed that dungeons could not appear on large hills or mountainous areas. Dungeons will now be able to appear on large hills and mountainous terrain, meaning they will be spread more evenly throughout continents. The chance of various types of dungeons spawning will also be equal, meaning you should see a greater variety of dungeons in your locality.

Boss Spawning
The dungeon spawning correction described above also applies to boss monsters.

Boss Loot
The loot that bosses carry has been upgraded. Bosses now have a chance of carrying the new artifacts types. The more powerful artifacts which cost 3,000 or more mana are considered rare loot.

Report a Player
It is now possible to report a player to customer support via their player info page should they break the Terms of Service or Game Rules. You can select the nature of the issue you want to report, write a subject and add additional information and select the date and time of the occurrence.

Region view symbols
In the region view you now will find a number of new symbols being displayed on cities for the following events:
You siege or attack a city
Someone lays siege to, or attacks, one of your cities.
A city belonging to an alliance member is placed under seige or attacked (requires alliance member to own a Defense Minister)
Your troops return from a siege, assault, plunder or scout
You sent settlers to this city
You attack dungeons or bosses
Troops return from dungeons or bosses
Your city has support incoming
Resources from another player are on the way
Your support is heading to this city
Your resources are on the way to this city

First week login bonus plan
For new players or players who start on a new world, we now offer a Daily Free Reward system spanning the first five days which includes granting players certain free artifacts for logging in at least once per day. After the fourth day the currently implemented daily reward system is comes into effect.

Improvements
If you choose to demolish a building it will now be deselected automatically. This is the same behaviour as choosing to place a building.
The training ground has received a visual overhaul.
As your mana bar begins to reach its maximum capacity, the bar will change color from green to yellow to orange and red when full.
