10/2 Progress on 2.0


Notorious Dons 2.0 development continues to progress. We are continuing to find ways to optimize the code and database; but it makes it take a little bit longer.

Recently, the decision was made that we are only releasing the bare minimum to run the game with the reset and release of 2.0. This has made the current deadline change to January 2011, which is still a long way a way. The owners really wish it didn't have to take so long, but having a family and the holidays coming soon has put such a damper on their time.

The good news is the Head Developer and main owner of Notorious Dons will still host the annual birthday event on October 31st. Players have until October 10th to preregister for the release to be able to participate in said event. Further details will be released in the next week or so officially on the Notorious Dons announcements page.

I know this news article bounces around, but there was so much to fit in and so little time to fit it all in. Finally the entire staff would like to thank all of the testers for the current testing and the future testing of the new Notorious Dons. We appreciated all of the work everyone is doing and hope we can bump up the development to try and get a 2010 release. :D
