Game: World War IV August 23, 2010 9:58 pm BST by bengute |
New Set Started
The new set has started and will run from Tuesday the 10th, of August 12:00pm - Sunday 3rd of October 12:00pm. The changes of this set include the clan syn has broken up into two clans, spyder and synexiles, and the majority of aegis members have gone on vacation for part of to the entirety of this set. The primary war is now on, with early success going to team1. Game changes include the battle system being changed. As juice explains in this forum post.
Health is the physical ability to fight.
Morale is the mental ability to fight.
During an attack, you will lose health based on the percentage of your total units sent and you will regain health based on the total units not sent. This means that it is possible to regain health while fighting. Health will only limit the total available units able to be sent, when attacking, however, health is still factored into defense.
During an attack, you will lose morale based on the total percentage of your units sent and a random factor. The random factor is in place for morale because we can never be sure exactly how your forces will react when fighting. Some will be pumped up while others will be depressed. Overall, morale will be lost because even the most energetic fighters lose the will to fight after long periods without rest.
(as a side note for those who have been playing ww4 prior to now, morale now works much like health used to work)
Other changes include:
Industrial Tech max raised from 140% to 160%
The other major change is the maximum number of spy operations and speed of spy operation amount recovery.
The maximum number of spy operations you can do is now determined by the size of your country.
(to bring the counterweight of land dropping extremely)
The new formulas are :
max_number of operations = land/150
recovery = 1/30 * max_number of operations
The maximum number of operations will be 30 at the most (starting at 4500 land)
