Notorious Dons Round Two Details

As promised, this is all about the reset to come. I estimated things to be done two weeks ago and obviously I was wrong. I did not realize all that was needed to be done to finish the reset. I am glad to finally be able to announce the details of the reset today though.

* P R E R E G I S T R A T I O N *
Preregistration will be open for three days; from Friday, May 7th until Sunday, May 9th. If you preregister, you will be able to be the first to choose your user name, update your email, keep you experience points, keep up to 1,000 coins, and keep all of your merits accumulated over time. Sorry guys, resurrections, private jets, etc will not carry over. Preregistration may close early so I advise everyone to preregister as soon as they possibly can.

I have decided that a few things must be done before I can reset the game and I plan to get that done today, this weekend, or this week. My self made deadline for the reset is Friday, May 14th, but this is not set in stone yet.

Background Code. I have a lot of plans to change the way certain features work in the background by creating functions and increasing the amount of user interactions that are logged. This will make it possible to rollback the game in case of errors without having to go to a database backup and rollback everything. Basically, make it easier to fix problems. I also want to make certain code more functional to be able to edit the code as features are added.

Coin Options. I want to finish or update a couple coin options before the reset happens. From implementing premium accounts to fixing instantly rank (instant rank will not be available directly after round start). It will be nice to add a coin trial feature for certain options like private jet or rank bar; so players can know what they are paying for.

Kill Page and Equipment. I will be shutting down the kill page when preregistration comes out. This will stay down until after reset and come back with a new formula and appeal. Armour will be equipable and in the kill formula after it is released post reset.

Account Verification. The most important feature I want to complete is account verification. When creating an account you will have to verify your account via entering a code you received in a welcome email before you can actually log in. One account will be able to be created per limited of time per IP. This is to avoid multiple fake email addresses used as well as multiple duplicate accounts made within moments of each other.

Post reset I have planned several incentives to bring players back. The final list is as follows:

[tab][+] Lower Cost to Create a Mob
[tab][+] Timers Reduced throughout the Game
[tab][+] Increased Cash Gained from Crimes and GTAs
[tab][+] Stock Market and Black Market Prices Crashed

These bonuses will last for at least the first two weeks post reset, but could last up to a month. The time table is not decided on yet. I'm still negotiating with Orion.
