Ysabel round 8
We are back again with a new fresh round!
Ysabel is a browser-based strategy game - that means it can be played directly from your browser, no need to install other software.
In just a couple of words Ysabel is a resource management MMO, where macro-management is the key to success.
At the beginning of the game you control one castle with a lord and 4 peasants. Peasants are used to gather resources: wood, stone, iron, and gold. With these resources you can increase your production, raise buildings in the castle or recruit troops for attack/defense.
Just like in other similar strategy games, you can choose to level up peaceful buildings like mines, and buildings like stable or infantry camp which allow you to hire troops. Once you have troops, you can raid other players and steal their resources.
Ysabel is a real-time strategy MMO, but that 'real time' is pretty slow. When starting any action, like increasing your resource production, it will tell you not only how many resources that action needs, but also how long it will take. During that time you can do other game actions like sending messages to your neighbors or posting on the forum. Then you build the next thing, and the next, and soon you will run out of resources. Most of the time game it plays by itself. Several times per day you just log on, check what's happening, and use the accumulated resources to do another action - a bit like checking your e-mail.
So, if you're in the mood to try something a bit more long-term and strategic than majority of other games, then give Ysabel a try.
