Capture the flag is simply a game of teamwork; without it, its combatants are misguided. As with any powerful team, one must rise to the challenge and lead his or her team to victory.

Following a rough series of game-changing events, from a plethora of new skills to a dynamic lighting system which affected players' visibility in all environments, Capture The Flag has once again received an update destined to change the dynamic of teamwork: the Commander system.

Commanders are simply democratically-elected officials whose terms end at the start of each new game. Where they differ from normal players exists within a set of executive quirks. These abilities include launching artillery strikes, dropping supply crates, and having a broader view of the battlefield.

“With great power,” awconnor13, the current Blue Commander, explains, “comes great responsibility.” Maybe you, too, will someday acquire his same responsibility.

Capture the Flag is a cooperative, competitive strategy game in the style of Urban Dead and Hell Rising with an eponymous, old-school twist. So, what are you waiting for?
