Market - keeping things simple

Like all strategy games, Ysabel is dealing with resources - four in this case: wood, iron, stone and gold.
Resources are needed for buildings and army. Today you may need more wood, tomorrow more gold. But, what is happening if you are in a big rush - you need to go to school, or to work - and don't have enough gold let's say to build army or a building?
To keep things simple and do not waste users time I decide to implement a very simple system at the market.
User can change his own resources (from wood to gold for example) and is paying a commission that depends on market level. This way in just a couple of seconds and 2-3 mouse clicks job is done.
Recently, a great suggestion comes up on the game forum (which is by the way fully integrated into the game - big advantage is single login).
Exchange rates were introduced, and the percentages are calculated daily based on total amount of resources available server wide. This way a new dimension was added, some users may guess which is the most valuable resource in the next day and take advantage of that!
