Dear christ what is with you people and PET sights, go get your own pet not a virtual pet, your almost as bad as the virtual lovers, (they make me laugh)
Real pets are messy.
And even though slightly older people run the sites, it is geared towards younger people to have fun and enjoy their time on the internets.
Although I prefer free running outdoors
That's just me though.
As long as people have fun with it, its legal and it isnt hurting anyone then I think let people play whatever they want to play.
Besides some of the more exotic pet games let you take care of things you would never be able to care for in the real world and that makes them truly unique.

Basically, it is perfectly fine for people to play these games. Plus, I know that a few parents would say to their kids “You cannot get a real pet, until you have proven to use that you can take care of a virtual pet”

Jurczak, your method of thinking is primarily flawed...
Virtual pet sites you train your pet by buying items and making them stronger, faster, more armored. You can battle other pets, or other peoples pets, you can make money, collect items, win trophies, play games, run a shop, collect avatars etc... is there any need to go on..?
What can you do with a real life pet ?.. Play with it. Teach it stuff. Feed it. Pick up it's shit. Totally different thing.
Your questions may as well be, “What is with you people and virtual anything, why don't you go out and get a real life and do real things?”
