Okay so, as most of you can tell... I don't really post here much anymore. But hey, I am still the #1 blog!
Admit it, it is the cool name that draws people in, I've accepted it.
Okay, sooo... what is this blog about?
Jinopets 2 of course!
Today we released that Jinopets 2 opens to all on March 3rd, but what do we ahve in store for you....?
Well, it is actually mostly secret! Why you may askk... competition. We don't want to tell everyone about what we are going to have... and have other people duplicate it before we even open. Make sense... right? Hope so, because it already happend once!
But what CAN I tell you we will have and will be different...? Not much, but here is the run down on some information you may find useful.
- The world name is Tiershia, and it is about half the size of earth.
- Jinopets 2 has a story mode, which is really like a single player mode, neat!
- You are represented my a character, there will be many templates to choose from.
- You can change your characters clothes! Not only that, but in advanced mode you have have unlimited clothes and accessories on up to 50 layers. Wow.
- Forums are redone, and have something called subicons to make it so you can have less forums, but still be organized.
- Mail is redone, and this time.... you get folders to store your mail in... AND... dun dun dun.. your mail is NEVER deleted. Messages can be marked as unread, read, favorites, trash, or reported.
- Pets will not be adopted. So how will you get them??? You will have to find out!
- You fight alongside your pet this time!
- Pets and characters gain levels by Growth Points, which are not the same as Experience Points, because you not onlyg et them for battling... but by taking care of your beloved pets.
- Your Jinopoints are displayed in $ format.
- The map will be SO huge, you wont comprehend until you see it!
- The game will feel a lot more rpg-ish, and aimed toward an older target age group. We understand that older teens and adults like games too. In fact, these are actually the ones who proove to be most active instead of “dumping” accounts.
- Your items taek up space, which is measured in Blocks, your items take up between 1 to 4 blocks total.
- Games will NOT be your main source of income.
- We invented a whole new restocking system, it is SO complciated... don't ask! But we may proove to have one of the best Economies ever because of it.
- The amount you can carry on hand only starts out as 5 blocks! Yikes! But don't worry, wear a pack to hold much more.
- Since you cannot carry much.... where do you put all of your stuff? Your house of course!
- Quests = Important. Not only that, but we may ahve some new twists to show the Virtaul Pet community some new ideas!
- Be careful what you do... your actions change your Active Pets alignment! What does this mean? Well, if your pet is a special type, it will look different based on the alignment!
- The hall of fame has never been so literal. You get fame for everything you do. Everything from visiting the site to defeating that level 23 battle opponent will score you FAME. It's an overall score that can only go up, but cant be used!
- Interact with the world around you for some neat treats and possibly new items.
- Did we mention the world will be HUGE? So huge, only 2 or 3 areas will be completed after months of work! The village and Fargon Forest will be the first done.
- You like collecting? Good, because you have lots to collect! Everything from flowers to missing puzzle peices to make you a neat picture of the main characters on the site!
- Did I mention that a lot of it is secret, and I can't tell you most of it?

Life realy is more than a bag of beans.
Alright so I am typing in my blog on a Sunday, which means I shouldn't be typing in my blog in the first place. In fact, I should be coding.
I have had a job in a factory for a little more than a month, and as horrible as it sounds... I hope I get laid off this week. I don't really NEED the money, and would like to take the break. This would be me time to do things like...well, make new jinopets 2 scripts.
Speaking of teh ol' J2, you want an update. Good, because your not getting one =P. Jinopets 2 is pretty much all secret until our beta release now, no more teasers or updates. Sorry guys, it is for the best. But I can say, we will shock the virtual pet community, or atleast, what is left of it.
My hard drive died yesterday, yes... the 200gb one with all my backup information on it...of course. Why would the 20gb die when I have a 200gb? I was able to recover 35% of my files with a program called GetDataBack thankfully, but it still sucks. The hardrive got out of its 6 month warantee last week, go figure.
Adsense, I completely love and hate you to death. I hate ads, but Jinopets needs money due to the lack of support in donations. Given the choice, I would have none. Hopefully the support kicks in after j2 opens, or I will stab out my eyes.
Random. Yes, each of these paragraphs is random. That is what you get for reading a blog titled Rants, Raves, and Twinkies.
I read somewhere on these forums earlier about how some sites should make some kind of Peace pact type thing. But here goes the real question, why the hell don't you just be nice to everyone to begin with.

Tapioca or something I hope I spelled that right pudding, have you ever tried to eat 5 pounds of that stuff in a week? I bought a nice 5 pound jar and I have to say I hope I never see it again, but I can't let the remaning pound and a half go to waste. The dog will no longer eat it either.
Playing GTA san andreas. I smell bacon... I smell pork... run little piggy! I got a fork! No longer playing GTA san andreas, that game was over rated.
Burnout revenge rocks. Buy it you fool.

Job
Today I got a job, which kinda sucks. I don't want to be that 40 year old who lives with his mother though, but I also will not be able to see a lot of people I know. My hours are 4am to 3pm, which means I need to get up at 2am, so I can leave by 3am, so I can be there by 4am. This is really going to affect my social life, because now one of my best friends is back in school, and I am going to be working weekdays and most saturdays... and I will be ready for bed at about 9pm. It just overall blows.
So for the record, Jinopets isn't my job,. I have a crapy job like everyone else in the world.

KK Recommends.
Below is a list of recommended retail games that I have played myself that are already released, and a 'watch list' for upcoming games. These are one's I think you have to check out.

PC - Unreal Tournament 2004. Okay, so this game ahs been out for a bit, but that doesn't change the fact it is a great game. The game has excellent multiplayer, and I have dialup and can still manage to atleast play it pretty well. On the downside, it has no real single player campaign mode. This game is meant for you to pick up and just play it. It features several noteable game modes including death match, team death match, onslaught, assult, invasion, mutant, last man standing, capture the flag, and more. I'm greatly anticipating Unreal Tournament 2007. I give the game a solid 9/10, and it was my pick for 2004. I do recommend you get the DVD ECE edition, the cd version has 6 discs, and doesn't have some of the best vehicles and maps. However, if you buy the CD edition, you can still download the ECE bonus pack. I would like this game to support a more solid campain mode option in the future, and do more to prevent cheaters. This game getsa a 10 of tilt for one of the best communites I have ever seen. So maybe my actual score is a 9.5.
Ps2- Yah I know, another shooter - Killzone. I'm normally not a fan of console shooters actually, but this one is pretty good. I don't own this game myself, but my friend does. The multiplayer is pretty solid, and the bots can be surprisingly smart, but not enough to win with 7 of them against two of you, most of the time. It has minor glitches, the most notable one being if one of you pulls a gernade, and the other player pulls ones too, sometimes it appears to reset the counter on the first persons gernade, but they it blows up anyway. I haven't found a better ps2 shooter, if you think you have one - tell me to buy it. I give the game an 8/10.
Gamecube - This is a toos up, I don't own a gamecube - but my aunt does. Two games I have enjoyed is Animal Crossing and Bloddy Roar, but I haven't played either enough for a review. I give both those games a 7.5/10
xBox - Sorry, I do not own or have any friends with an xBox. But a game I want to check out is the Dead Or Alive, and hate me for it... but I am not a Halo fan. I ahve played this game, and I think there are better shooters. But I can say I think it is a good overall game for begginers and experts, but mostly begginers. The game speed and action seems a bit slow, and is full of cheap shots. Does the term “Jumping rocket n00b” come in mind to anyone? Or that kid with the sniper rifle who can SHOOT YOUR GUN (I only know this to be true in the first one) and you fall over dead - that must be one hell of a rifle. No rating, for No actual review.
Gameboy (Gameboy/color/advance) - I was actually really addicted to the Pokemon Trading Card game, I am not much for the actual games, but the trading card game was nice. The game is easy to learn, and great for introducing somebody to the trading card game world. My only complaint is it has a poor replay, playing it a second time is no fun at all. The trading card game 2 is avilable in japan, and if anyone has any knowledge where I can get an english or translated version - I would be greatful. 7/10.

Burnout : Revenge (Ps2- heard possibly xbox 360)
Burnotu is back, and this is on the very top of my want list. I heard it comes out the 13th, or 14th. I'll be at ebgames opening day if this is true. Watch this one! Rating prediction is 9/10.
Age of Empires III (PC) - Huge fan of the series, and I can't wait to try out the home city. Nothing like a little RPG for your RTS.
Rating prediction is 8 or 9/10.
Unreal Tournament 2007 - Not going to be out for about a year, but you better watch it anyway! <3 Conquest mode. Rating prediction is 9 or 9.5/10.
Killzone 2 (Ps3) - My game to watch for the Ps3, I liked the first so I am sure I will like this one. Rating prediction is 8 or 8.5/10.

Today I put Jinopets on Wikipedia, because I can. It took a lot longer than I expected, and i am thinking it has a lot of thigns wrong with it. I did go to summerschool for two english classes you know.

A special thanks too..
Thanks to all the people who have suddenly decided to support me now that the new Jinopets 2 teaser is out. It must really sound appealing because some users who coudn't wait to tell me they thought Jinopets sucked have suddenly changed their mind and want to work there. I think that is what we call irony, but I'm not sure.
Yah so, I've 2x neck deep into Jinopets 2 work.. I managed to work for 5 hours straight on one project and I bet that nobody will even suspend it took that long when I am finished with it.
This project I am going to for this blog name Secret project flying milk jug, is going to take as much work by the artists and programmers as it is going to the pets and items conbined >.< ... yah, whatever Secret project flying milk jug is, already needs to be renamed secret project flying blue whale.
I've seen a pretty similar feature in RPG sites before, but not to this scale. Well, I have seen some nearly this big on MUD sites, but they don't have graphics... so.. ehh. I shall say no more, I'm not going to give it away. I mean, who wants to ruin the surprise of a secret flying milk jug? not me.

Attack of the dead blog.
Okay, so this and every other blog may be dying slowly, but I am going to post anyway. So this dead blog is attacking anyway. Hey, that's a cool name for the title of it... *inserts it*
Mostly I would like to discuss the large scale panic on Jinopets!
The probem was the cookie grabbers on Marapets, a few users have tried to do this to parts of our site. They haven't worked or anything, but as soon as somebody sees the code in the forum they panic and start spreading false rumors.
Today here I am sleeping because I don't feel well and there is rumorsspreading that my account was hacked because somebody posted something that tried to insert a cookie grabber imported through css. First of all, css and html are blocked. Second of all, you can't import the javascript through css like that. So the damage done was mostly in panic, rumors, and to my inbox. Again.
