Rogue Cinema Sept, Issue is Out
Rogue Cinema Newsletter: September Issue is Online!
THE ROGUE CINEMA MONTHLY NEWSLETTER: SEPTEMBER 2006!
First off, A big thanks goes out to everyone that contributed to this
issue of Rogue Cinema. Your hard work and determination is always
appreciated, and from what I hear, it's starting to pay off! Keep it
up guys! (Quick Note to RC contributors: If you've reviewed a screener
for an independent film or interviewed someone, please notify the film
makers and/or interviewees so that they can link to the magazine! Thanks!)
This month's issue is heavy on reviews, but we didn't skimp on
interviews and articles either. Here's what you can find in the
September 2006 issue of ROGUE CINEMA (www.roguecinema.com):

newest film, “Zombies by Design.”
Duane also interviews director Frank Delle, who did “Beer Drinkers in
Space” and its documentary “Keep Drinking Men!”

You can catch her in a new horror film called “House on Straw Hill.”
Dave also has a chat with Matthew Worthington, star of “Encounters.”
FEATURED ARTICLES:

B-Movie Impaired. For mere cents a day, you can help normal folks
learn the value of a good (or bad) b-movie.
Jordan Garren brings us his coverage of the latest Tromatic screening
at the Endless Mountains Theater in Scranton, PA. This time around,
“Cannibal! The Musical” was the film of choice and everyone had a
Shpadoinkle time!
Jordan Garren delivers another Genre Watch article! To see what's hot
on DVD and in theaters this month, check out the September '06 Genre
Watch ASAP!
Danny Runion comes up with his very own list of Movie Crossovers that
unfortunately may someday become a reality.
Jonathon Persinek does something very different and intersting in this

Cannon Fodder Press Release
Codemasters announce Cannon Fodder for PSP!
http://www.codemasters.com/cannonfodder
In these modern times of games that are oh-so-serious, it's great
when you can play a game with a smile on its face and a gun in its
hand. And the rebirth of a great classic series is something to
celebrate as well.
These things come together with the announcement of Cannon Fodder for
PSP (tm) (PlayStation ® Portable). A new start for the well-loved
series.
But how do you bring a game rooted in a previous era up to date? Well,
we've got great art direction that takes what the original game's
style - which combined a humorous cute look with gritty elements -
and uses those principles to create a look that's both modern and
unmistakably Cannon Fodder. Check out the images here to get a taste.
http://www.codemasters.com/cannonfodder
Gameplay is true to the original formula: players take command of a
squad and complete missions using guns, wits, and maybe the various
vehicles you might find scattered around like tanks, trucks, APCs,
jeeps and more. Completing these missions usually involves causing as
many explosions and as much destruction as possible..
The move into true 3D will also allow some new gameplay elements to
come into play, such as the importance of higher ground or the
ability to stay hidden in a gully, all adding depth to the original
game, but without fundamentally altering what it's about.
We'll be releasing lots more info between now and release, but until
then, check out the Cannon Fodder forum for chat about this game, and
its illustrious forebears.

Hospital Tycoon Press Release
We're giving everyone the chance to play doctors and nurses next
spring, with Hospital Tycoon, coming to exclusively to PC!
http://www.codemasters.com/hospitaltycoon
Hospital Tycoon is a medical-themed 'God' game that's full of dramas
and crazy diseases. Players will run, maintain, enhance and expand a
series of chaotic hospital facilities.
Each hospital is staffed by manic medical teams and packed with
patients suffering from the most peculiar diseases - such as the man
afflicted with 'Monkey Nuts' or the office worker diagnosed with
Stress Zombosis - who need curing with equally bizarre treatments.
Delivering emergent and entertaining situations, the game's high
level of character interaction is set to create a living hospital
soap opera played out with loads of humour!
Players will direct the hospital's medical staff, ensure patients are
cared for and have the treatment facilities required. There's also
the upkeep of each hospital to control and develop; dedicated areas
can be built to support additional medical needs - surgery, diagnosis,
physiotherapy and more. Get it right and your patients will go home
happy, get it wrong and armies of angry, sick people will make your
life hell.
The more patients that come to the hospital and are cured, the more
your medical empire can grow and flourish. You'll need to keep your
facilities up to date with upgrades and all of the flashier equipment
today's pushy patients demands.
Be first in the queue to play your part in a modern medical drama by
registering your interest now!
